The Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid is an iconic institution, with more than a century of history dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of arts and culture. Founded in 1880, the CBA has established itself as one of Europe’s most important cultural centers, hosting a wide range of activities including art exhibitions, theater, film, music, literature, and much more.
History and heritage
Throughout its more than 140 years of existence, the Círculo de Bellas Artes has witnessed and participated in the cultural and artistic evolution of Spain.
Since its inception, it has welcomed the participation of prominent figures in the world of art and culture, becoming a meeting point for artists, intellectuals, and art lovers. Its building, located on Calle de Alcalá, is an architectural gem designed by Antonio Palacios and declared a Site of Cultural Interest . Its halls and spaces have been the setting for countless events that have left an indelible mark on Madrid’s cultural history.

The ballroom
On the 2nd floor, with 800 square meters, we have a classic venue for our Tango Festival. We’ll dance beneath its 10-meter-high ceilings and a perfect dance floor. This space, with capacity for up to 750 people and equipped with the best sound, air conditioning, and ventilation, will leave you speechless.
María Zambrano Room
This bright 5th-floor room features large windows with spectacular views. 150 square meters with wooden floors and a capacity for 140 people. With sound equipment and air conditioning, it’s the perfect environment to improve your tango.
