Founded in mid-2012 with the aim of recreating the style of the “King of Compás,” who marked a before and after in Tango from the 1930s onwards: the La Juan D’Arienzo Orchestra. Directed by bandoneonist Facundo Lázzari, the lineup is completed by Ricardo Badaracco, Oscar Yemha and Lucas Pantarotto on bandoneons, Pablo Ginzburg, Emilio Pagano and Juan Pablo Cravenna on violins, Pablo Valle on piano, Andrés Santarsiero on double bass, and Fernando Rodas on vocals.
In his more than 10-year career, he has toured Europe, America, and Asia on more than 20 occasions, visiting Italy, Germany, Portugal, Denmark, France, England, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Japan, and Taiwan, among other countries. At the same time, they have toured the country, bringing their distinctive style to almost every Argentine province. The orchestra has released three albums: Cortando Clavos (2014), Siciliano (2018), and Bienvenido a este sector (2018), and were awarded the Tango Prize for Best Orchestra in 2018.
We are privileged to have them kick off their 2026 European tour at the Viva la Pepa Madrid Tango Festival 2026. And beware, they are coming with the intention of going all out! Get your shoes ready, you’re going to dance until the last beat!
